So whenever I want to check something about an older kit I usually already have to either know about the kit and search it through google, or I'll have to browse through the catalogs of Gunpla website. Usually both are fairly non-efficient for my tastes. But I have found a way around it.
You can find most of what any new gunpla builder is looking for via the Gundam Wiki's page about kits. The categorize them by grade and sometimes series, so its fairly easy to find what you're looking for. From there you can cross reference the information from the wiki with your favorite dealer to find prices.
