Newtype of World: GDM: HG 1/144 G-Xiphos

So the G-Xiphos was recently reviewed by rrobbert184 and I have to say that I actually do like the kit! HOWEVER, I don't think I'll be getting it in the future, after the reveal of the snake weapon, I'm sure that there will be a second version of the G Bouncer. That snake weapon looks amazing, and if the kit came with that, I would buy it straight off the shelf. But its that second sword like weapon on the left arm is what I really wanted on the Xiphos. I really, really don't like the claw weapon. I know that's a really big selling point for the kit, but it isn't something that I really care for. So if I do get the kit I would mod the weapon by taking off the claw and then replacing it with a beam saber handle.

So my third knock to the kit. after looking at the Xiphos next to the cool black and gray color scheme of the Dark Hound, I really got turned off the to color scheme of the Xiphos. So for the most part I will either try to replace the dark purple with straight black and the dark blue with gray, or I will just try to pain the same limbs of the Xiphos in Dark Hound colors. Whatever looks better for me at the time I guess.

My fourth knock against the kit is that the kit doesn't come with the original G Bouncer weapons. I know that Bandai didn't have to do it, but if they had, that would have been and INSTANT selling point for me. If I had the beam rifle and the shield, I couldn't care less about the hook cannon, but since the extra weapons don't come with the kit, the Xiphos would looks awfully naked with just the heat sword. As cool as the poses may be.

I guess this would also go along the lines of the claw too, but I really don't like the head of the kit. I know that rrobbert184 praised the head, but I guess I'm just not that pirate-y of a guy. Luckily the kit does come with replacement parts for the original G Bouncer mold, so I can deal with that.
